So, it's sad but true : Health is a moving target. You can reach various goals and milestones, but you can never rest on your laurels for very long, because the living body is a dynamic system functioning within a dynamic environment. The only constant is change!
Do you ever have those days when you're SO "health conscious" and you hit all your goals -- ate 5 generous servings of (5 different) fruits and veggies, drank a couple of quarts of water, exercised, flossed, took your supplements, everything! You pat yourself on the back, so proud of yourself... and eventually slack off... and feel bad... and think, "Argh! Do I really have to pay attention EVERY DAY!? Forever?!" Er... basically... yep. It's not really worth it to beat yourself up over "falling off the wagon." No big deal - we're all human. But on the other hand, don't kid yourself either that you are ever "done" just because you completed such-and-such course of treatment, X number of flushes or cleanses, reached whatever level of martial arts achievement, or that magical number on the scale. Health is a moving target, and it's a lifetime project.
What were my 5 fresh produce items today? They were : grapes, apricots, saturn peaches, corn and apple. (Yes, the leafy greens are my weak spot, too. I ate a watercress sandwich last week, and I'm still so proud of myself about it. For the leafy-green-challenged, there ARE supplements, too, and I did sheepishly take some SP Green Food to soothe my conscience and provide some nutrients.)
