These days, there’s no denying that emotions are an important aspect of health. Emotions are physical. When you’re frightened, angry, heartbroken or blissfully happy, you don’t feel those things in your head; you feel them in your body! Likewise, if you experience an emotion for a prolonged period of time (good or bad), you will feel that, too, in your body. We’re not psychotherapists here, but we do recognize the importance of emotional health. Chances are, you will probably notice an improvement in your emotional state as you improve other aspects of your health (structure, biochemistry). However, sometimes, a physical problem is primarily emotional at its root. When this is the case, you need to address the emotional component.
What are some ways to address the emotional component of a problem? Here are some that you may be familiar with : psychotherapy, meditation, journaling, spiritual practices, psychiatry, hobbies*.
How do we address the emotional base of health in this office? NEURO EMOTIONAL TECHNIQUE (N.E.T.) N.E.T. is a powerful tool that we use to correct NECs (Neuro Emotional Complexes), which are emotionally-triggered negative physiological patterns. * Hobbies are important. Sometimes, a hobby can actually cover more than one of the bases of health – like if your hobby is some kind of exercise, organic farming or healthy cooking. However, even if your hobby has nothing obvious to do with “health” (like, if your hobby is going to the shooting range, collecting stamps or bird watching), it’s still very important for your emotional well-being. Everyone should do something that they enjoy - not just the things that they “need to” do.
