STOP!

If you are already an established client, click through to get to the online appointment book.

If you are interested in making a first appointment, you should read this first, and then call or e-mail to make an appointment. Why can’t new patients use the online appointment book? It’s because we don’t know yet if your case is even appropriate for this office! We don’t accept every case. There are several parts to a new patient visit.

1. The Consultation. Consultations are always free, so you have nothing to lose by scheduling one. What is the purpose of a consultation? It’s to determine whether or not there is any point to doing an Examination.

2. The Examination. The purpose of the examination is to determine whether or not it is appropriate to start care in this office, and if so, what kind of care. Here are some of the things that are typically involved in an examination at this office : thorough case history, basic orthopedic and neurological examination, blood pressure & heart rate, blood typing, bilateral weight measure, spinal examination, weight-bearing foot (arch) evaluation, electronic MSA (Meridian Stress Assessment), basic urinalysis, pH, Symptom Survey questionnaire [PDF] and reflex testing. Additional testing (such as x-ray or other imaging) may be deemed appropriate, depending on the case. Sound like a lot of testing for a chiropractic office? Not at all, when you consider that just about anything can cause a vertebra to misalign and/or fail to hold an adjustment. A good chiropractor looks to far more than just the spine, even if aiming to treat only the spine!

3. Report of Findings. Sorry, even if you made it to the examination, you’re not likely to get adjusted on that day. We need time to study the exam findings and formulate a care plan. You will return on another day (preferably with whoever is your main source of support) to go over the exam findings and to find out whether or not your case is appropriate for this office. (If it’s not, don’t worry – we won’t leave you out in the cold! We’ll help you find the health practitioner who’s right for you.)

4. ADJUSTMENT. Ah, sweet relief. Once you make it to this point, then, you can finally use the online appointment book!

INSURANCE : We are OUT OF NETWORK for all insurance companies, and we have NO intention of joining any networks. We do not generally “accept” insurance, however, we will file insurance paperwork for you, so that you can still use your benefits (assuming you do have out-of-network chiropractic benefits). We do NOT handle Workers Compensation cases, and also we do NOT handle P.I. (Personal Injury) cases. If your insurance card says “HMO,” then for sure you do not have insurance benefits here. This sounds sad, but actually, it’s for the best. Do we accept trade and barter? Do you have opera tickets? Let’s talk.
